Retinal photography is important in consistent and accurate record keeping and this technology aids in the diagnosis of many types of retinal diseases such as diabetic retinopathy and changes in the eye due to high blood pressure.
It is a great way to follow the health of the eyes over the years and can take the place of dilation in most cases.
