Eyeglass Care & Resources
After a period of use, your eye glasses will likely need some adjustments. We recommend you have one of our eye care professionals adjust your glasses on a regular basis to ensure proper fit and comfort.
Eye Associates offers free adjustments and minor repairs on all eyewear purchased in our office.
Anti-Glare Lenses
You can experience optimum visual comfort with Anti- glare technology. This exciting technology greatly reduces distracting reflections caused by the lights of home and office. These lenses not only enhance your vision but reduce unnecessary eyestrain.
Photochromic (Transition) Lenses
Known as transition lenses, these allow vision comfort all day long. They seamlessly change from clear indoors to tinted while outdoors… all in one pair of glasses.
Progressive Lenses
Frequently called “no-line bifocals,” progressive lenses eliminate the visible lines associated with bifocals and trifocals. Progressive lenses are the consummate multifocal lenses that provide for seamless progression of multiple lens powers for all viewing distances.
Polarized Lenses
Annoyed by blinding glare? Polarized lenses can block that out while enhancing your visual acuity, color contrast, and overall comfort. Polarized lenses are a big leap from tinted lenses that simply act to reduce the amount of light passing through the lenses instead of blocking reflected glare.
Drivewear Lenses
Go for the ultimate experience in sunglass technology with DriveWear lenses. Their unique combination of transition lenses coupled with polarized lenses make them the most complete sunglass option on the market.
Extending the Life of Your Eyeglasses
With the proper daily care, your eye glasses can last for years!
- Keep the lenses clean by washing them twice a day in warm water or with special lens cleaner.
- Dry them with a soft cotton towel or a special eyeglass cleaning cloth.
- When you are not wearing your eye glasses, keep them in their protective case.
- Be sure to never rest them face down on their lenses.
- Each time you put on or take of your eye glasses, be sure to use both hands, grabbing the temples midway on both sides and slowly sliding them off of your ears.
- Do not wipe your lenses when they are dry. Just wash or blow off any dust or grit.
- Never use paper products (ie. paper towels or tissues) on your eye glass lenses, as this may scratch them. Do not use silicone tissues on plastic lenses.
- Do not allow others to try on or wear your eyewear as this may stretch out or change the adjustment of your frame
