Nicholas A. Pennipede Memorial Scholarship Winner: Roderick Gaines, Spring 2020
Congratulations to Roderick Gaines, a Business Management major (Biology minor) at Clemson University and our latest (Spring 2020) student scholarship winner. Roderick has a long-term goal to pursue a career in dentistry, and will receive $1,000 from Eye Associates to apply toward his education.
We were impressed with Roderick's essay and wanting to own and operate his own family dental practice someday! He wrote, in part:
My name is Roderick Allen Gaines. I graduated from Spring Valley High School in Columbia, SC in June 2020. Currently, I am a freshman at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. I am a Business major at the Darla Moore School of Business with a minor in Pre-Dental. One day I will own and operate my own family dental practice.
